So what ...?

Well yes, what is Nordic Walking (or Nordic Walking)? well, okay, we walk with sticks and then ...?

And it does not matter how walking with these poles, there is a technique to learn (a few hours is enough ...) Once past the initiation, you will quickly discover the benefits of this leisure sport practiced by 70% of Finland (yes, still!)

First your body will tone up: 90% muscles of your body will work, always gently, without forcing on the joints.

joints, they are going to be protected, particularly the ankles, knees and back: 30% less pressure on the knees with the proper use of sticks. That is what enable people suffering from these joints, overweight people, senior citizens, to those recovering from injury or rehabilitation, to start or resume physical activity. Physical activity that can quickly become a full medal sport.

Nordic walking is an endurance activity , we speak of cardiovascular activation: the heart grows, oxygen is more important, the blood flow is enabled. A true rejuvenator for the organization and vitality, energy more.

Speaking of energy, know that an hour Nordic Walking allows you to spend 46% more calories than normal walking (about 400 instead of 280 calories per hour) ... not bad when you want lose a little weight ...

lot of health benefits then, and then walking comfort increased, it feels light, powered, back straightens, the stride lengthens, the walking speed increases ...

All this without fatigue, without feeling "broken" as can be after jogging or aerobics.

And do not forget the positive impact on stress . The calm of the sea, countryside or forest can really unwind, to find a little serenity. The playfulness of the exercises in the wild can "let go" to regain some of his childish side. The group effect, usability, chats, laughs sometimes, a whole side "human touch" that has positive effects on morale.

I told you, 70% of Finnish practice ... are not all crazy Finns ...

And I see you when you?

Nordic Walking, here we go!

's it, baptism of fire with 2 groups very friendly ...

two outings on the Black Bridge site. The first hour (which largely overflowed 1:30), 1:30 on the second.

The weather was with us, the mood was light ... everyone left with a smile after discovering this new activity for all.

Everyone has been aware of the usefulness of sticks to protect his joints, his back to move faster, to work all the body (arms tomorrow might be a little painful ...)

One of the first group did not want to come because of a knee which hurts the descents ... Throughout the session I saw her rise and rise of the slopes for the sake of them down without suffering through the support of sticks ... great!

course, the movements are still hesitant, but technique and speed will come with practice. The key on each one is done well in the right mood.

Look at these smiles after running 1:30 ...
